Workshop Reviews
Here is what some participants are saying:
“The workshop was very well put together to sustain our interest & the teaching was presented in a helpful and humorous way. Karen is open, kind & a great communicator & moderator. She makes it easy to discuss any topic and learn from it. It was a safe and open environment which allowed my boyfriend and I to experience breakthroughs during many of the exercises. Even though we were friends coming in we are much closer now.” Evaluation- Miranda A. Attendee
“Karen’s ability to explain the information in the workshop was one of the highlights for me and her openness about how she has used the material in her own relationship really helped. The connection with my girlfriend was strengthened and our relationship became stronger during this workshop.” Evaluation- Karl H. Attendee
“This workshop was great. The videos with the Gottman’s were very enlightening and humorous! I really was able to learn from Karen and the other couples. Karen shared from her own experiences which I really appreciated it. My husband and I were not close coming in to the workshop but I feel much closer to him as a result.” Evaluation- Cheryl W. Attendee
“Karen expanded my understanding. She is thoughtful, kind and non-bias. This workshop helped “a great deal” and I feel much closer to my spouse now.” Evaluation- Jason W. Attendee
“The workshop was excellent! Karen presented in a practical and engaging way. I really appreciated her approach. The positives of this workshop for me was being able to separate and work with my husband alone on some of the activities and to feel safe expressing my feelings. I feel like we were able to begin to open up on a more personal level than than before, and if we continue using the tools we’ve been given , we will continue to get even closer.” Evaluation- Anonymous (female) Attendee
“The highlights of this workshop was learning the tools and methods to deal with conflict. I appreciate that the workshop encourages and guides us through the problems we don’t want to deal with. The perpetual vs. solvable problems made my wife and I face difficult issues. I have a better understanding of how to become closer as friends but now I have to take the tools to make it happen. I am encouraged to do so. I learned more about how I understand my feelings and how my wife understands the same things differently. The material flowed very well. The presenter was very comforting and helpful.” Evaluation- Anonymous (male) Attendee
“We enjoyed the workshop! The topics were all relevant and built on each other. The workshop showed there are options to get many things resolved and understand each other better on the things that are not resolvable. This workshop has drawn us much closer.” Evaluation- Anonymous (male and female) Attendees
“Loved the Gottman videos. They were informative and clarified some of the questions I had. Karen did a great job of presenting the information and letting us become familiar with the material. We are now able to communicate more effectively and I learned that we have way more in common than not.” Evaluation- Anonymous (male) Attendee
“Wonderful instructor, great atmosphere to promote learning. I felt comfortable asking questions it was easy to follow along!” Evaluation- Anonymous (female) Attendee
“I really enjoyed the Workshop. I especially enjoyed the Gottman videos plus the thorough explanation of the 4 horseman and how they affect relationships. I enjoyed discussing topics as a class and hearing other perspectives, as well as the time with my wife doing our own exercises. I definitely recommend this workshop.” Evaluation- Anonymous (male) Attendee 2017
“The 7 Principles and the research behind it was so enlightening. I really enjoyed having time to connect to my spouse. I enjoyed the workshop and Karen is a gifted leader.” Evaluation- Anonymous (female) Attendee
“The highlights were both the video examples and following exercises. It validated that all relationships have patterns and with hard work can help even the perpetual issues get out of gridlock. I feel much closer to my spouse after attending this workshop. Thank you! Keep up the good work.” Evaluation- Anonymous (female) Attendee
